Back to normal
07/03/2024 00:00:00
We haven't been updating for a while and then had some technical issues which have been solved by our good friend Rory. Thank you Rory! 2023 saw TAG getting back to its usual routine before the pandemic and it's brilliant getting back to normal with going on trips and hopefully introducing new activities. Macmillan Cancer Support and TAG are teaming up this year again (first time since before the pandemic) for The Moonlight Walk so come along and enjoy a walk suitable for all ages and abilities on: THE MOONLIGHT WALK ON SATURDAY 27TH APRIL @ 8PM ALTNAVEIGH HOUSE, NEWRY (OPPOSITE TESCO) REGISTRATION @ 7.30PM £10 per person/£15 per family in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support & TAG - The Active Group Good to be back again.

The End of 2022 After Lockdown
03/01/2023 00:00:00
Lockdown was hard for everyone including TAG members. The volunteers were amazing, keeping in touch with members by phone to try and ease the isolation and fear. Members sent news to the co-ordinator so she could put newsletters together to keep everyone in touch with each other. When we were able to start having activity evenings, it was with reduced numbers for the first few months. Eventually we were able to bring everyone together again and enjoyed a lot of our favourite activities such as yoga, archery, making Christmas Wreaths and we finished off the year with our first bus trip since before Covid to The Carrickdale Hotel for our Christmas dinner. We look forward to getting back together again on 4th January 2023.

The End of 2021
30/12/2021 00:00:00
We are approaching the end of another year and a lot of people will be glad it's over and hope the New Year will bring us a better year. Thankfully TAG members were able to meet up just before Christmas and enjoyed making Christmas Wreaths, they were very artistic and parents were delighted to see the members creations. Unfortunately this was our one and only face to face meeting in 2021 but we did stay in touch by phone and newsletter. it was lovely receiving photos and news from the members telling us what they had been doing and sharing it in the newsletter for other members to see. There were some great ideas being shared on how to keep busy and of course lots of walking to keep fit. We look forward to a New Year and hopefully lots of activities and meeting one another. Happy New Year from all at TAG (The Active Group) and we hope its a prosperous and healthy New Year for all. Stay Safe!
